Increasing Food Security in East Maui

March 2, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Aloha kākou!

Please join Ma Ka Hana Ka ‘Ike for a virtual community gathering on Wednesday, March 2 at 5:00 p.m. Over the past year, we’ve surveyed and interviewed East Maui farmers and producers, ‘ohana, keiki, and agriculture stakeholders to create an assessment of our current food system.

Collectively, we’ve identified challenges and obstacles families and farmers face, the preferences our community members have for local produce, supply and demand trends, and so much more. We are excited to share some of this data with you! All data shared will be anonymous.

Register here beforehand: https://bit.ly/EastMauiFoodAssessment

There will be raffle giveaways featuring local Hāna goods. Also, join us and learn some ‘ono recipes developed by Chef Ryan O’Connor using ‘āina-based ingredients.

Join the meeting with your ‘ohana and spread the word to your friends. This will be a gathering to share information and ideas, and we welcome your feedback and mana’o.

See you on March 2! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions: hauoli@hanabuild.org | (425) 765-1184.
