Destination by Hyatt resort in Hawaii appoints new GM
Hana-Maui Resort has welcomed Ryan Parker, who will oversee the day-to-day functions of the property
Hana-Maui Resort, a Destination by Hyatt in Hawaii, has announced the appointment of Ryan Parker to the role of general manager.

In this new role, Parker will oversee the day-to-day functions of the resort, including supervising in-house staff, managing monthly and yearly budgets and implementing marketing strategies.
“As an innately caring leader with an uncompromised focus on high-quality standards, Ryan Parker is the perfect fit to lead day-to-day functions for our dynamic resort and nurture our connection to the eastern side of Maui and the tight knit town of Hana,” said Mark Jennings, senior vice president of lifestyle operations at Hyatt. “Ryan is excited to be rooted in the local community and will be a strong asset to promote Hana-Maui Resort as the island continues to rebuild and spotlight tourism as its main driver.”
Parker was most recently the general manager at The Shay, another Destination by Hyatt in Culver City, California. During his five years in the position, he oversaw the hotel’s opening and growth in the competitive Los Angeles market, developing strategies for marketing and sales efforts and operating budgets throughout the pandemic.
Prior to Hyatt, Parker spent the majority of his 18-year career at Kimpton Hotels in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Chicago, Illinois, before moving to California in 2014. Parker earned his Bachelor of Arts at the University of New Hampshire and his Certified Rooms Division Executive (CRDE) accreditation at the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.
