HAVE INPUT ON NATURAL RESOURCE CONSERVATION PRIORITIES FOR MAUI?
LOCAL WORKING
GROUP MEETING
HOSTED BY MAUI SOIL & WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICTS + USDA NRCS
At the meeting, information will be presented about the current conditions of Maui’s natural resources and dominant land uses. Participants will be provided an opportunity to help identify natural resource concerns and goals, examine conservation opportunities, and prioritize areas where conservation efforts are most needed. Your participation will help plan for the protection and proper management of Maui’s natural resources.
Local Working Groups are convened by Soil and Water Conservation Districts, at the request of the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), to gather information on local natural resource concerns and effectiveness of conservation activities and programs. NRCS works with landowners to implement voluntary conservation solutions to protect natural resources and feed a growing world.
The mission of the Maui Soil and Water Conservation Districts is to promote responsible land use decisions for the conservation, protection and improvement of soil and water resources by providing information assistance through effective partnering, technical guidance, and education.
