Hana Community Association - Hāna District Directory

The Hāna Community Association (HCA) is a non-partisan, non-sectarian, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based at the Hāna Community Center in East Maui, Hawaiʻi (once the renovations are completed). The Association’s mission is to foster community spirit, promote fellowship, study local needs, and operate community facilities for the benefit of area residents.

HCA is governed by an elected Board of Directors consisting of at least seven full-time Hāna District residents serving staggered two-year terms. The organization delivers services through six standing committees, which oversee development monitoring, public works, law enforcement and safety, education, bylaws, and recreation. Under its recreational and educational mandates, the Association brings the community together by organizing major local gatherings, including the annual Hāna Youth Fest and the Hāna Community Winter Show.

Membership is open to all adult residents of the Hāna District and their families. While annual membership dues are set at $1.00, payment is optional, ensuring that all eligible community members can fully participate without financial barriers. Through its dedicated committees and public events, the HCA actively enhances the social, educational, and general well-being of the East Maui community.
