DESCRIPTION:Hui! Join us again for another ʻohana workday at Kapahu Living Farm. \n\nSaturday\, April 15 from 10 am – 1:00 pm. \nPotluck lunch‘Ohana\, community members and visitors of all ages are welcomed! Come prepared to get muddy! Bring water and snacks\, sun protection\, hand tools\, weed eaters\, dry change of clothes\, and something to share for lunch.Tasks may include weeding in the taro patch and ‘auwai\, weed eating banks\, preparing new patches\, planting huli\, and harvesting depending on what needs to be done that day and the size and interest of the group.Kapahu Living Farm is located the Kipahulu section of Haleakala National Park. Look for a dirt road mauka just on Hana side of Oheʻo Stream bridge in Haleakala National Park. A sign will be posted. (If coming from Hana direction\, go past the Mother Mary shrine and then around the corner and down the hill\, then look for the road on the right. If coming from the Kaupo direction\, go past the national park parking lot and Ohe’o bridge\, then look for the road on the left.) The road is somewhat rough\, so if your vehicle has low clearance\, please contact us ahead of time and we can arrange for someone to meet you at the bottom of the road where you can park.If you need better directions or more information\, call Scott at 808-248-8673 or the Triangle/Kitchen at 808-248-4411\, or email ohana@kipahulu.org.
