We hope to have definitive information before the meeting. Also\, there is a petition being circulated requesting the closure of Hana Highway 360 to all non-essential travel because of the issues created by the construction\, numbers of visitors as well as illegal parking\, etc.  Here is a link for your information. I am wondering how the business community feels about this option and the possible negative impacts on the businesses or maybe businesses are “to busy” and would welcome a respite. Not sure how this would affect employment/unemployment\, etc. This is clearly a difficult situation and something needs to be done for sure.  We are looking at enforcement options which may assist with the illegal parking.  https://www.change.org/p/county-of-maui-temporarily-ban-non-essential-travel-in-east-maui-during-road-construction?recruiter=235484961&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=psf_combo_share_initial&utm_term=psf_combo_share_initial&recruited_by_id=f503a57f-fe00-464a-acc8-3e0e5a17da87&utm_content=fht-29325282-en-us%3A6 \nAgenda URL:https://hanamaui.com/event/hana-highway-traffic-management-on-infrastructure-transportation-it-committee-agenda/ LOCATION:BlueJeans CATEGORIES:Meeting,Workshop ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://hanamaui.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Maui-County-Seal-01.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Pacific/Honolulu:20210707T170000 DTEND;TZID=Pacific/Honolulu:20210707T183000 DTSTAMP:20240528T101732 CREATED:20210706T234304Z LAST-MODIFIED:20210707T001449Z UID:10001008-1625677200-1625682600@hanamaui.com SUMMARY:Hana Town Hall with CM Sinenci DESCRIPTION:Zoom Meeting \n\nhttps://zoom.us/j/3813915290?pwd=QWU1SlRKN1N6b2kzVzBQdWpIWkdaUT09 \n\n\n\n\n\nMeeting ID: 381 391 5290 \n\n\nPasscode: Kauiki \n\n\nOne tap mobile \n\n\n+13126266799\,\,3813915290#\,\,\,\,*669892# US (Chicago) \n\n\n+16465588656\,\,3813915290#\,\,\,\,*669892# US (New York) URL:https://hanamaui.com/event/hana-town-hall-with-cm-sinenci/ LOCATION:Zoom\, HI\, United States CATEGORIES:Meeting ORGANIZER;CN="Councilmember Sinenci":MAILTO:Mavis.Medeiros@mauicounty.us END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Pacific/Honolulu:20210715T160000 DTEND;TZID=Pacific/Honolulu:20210715T170000 DTSTAMP:20240528T101732 CREATED:20210712T220805Z LAST-MODIFIED:20210712T221759Z UID:10001010-1626364800-1626368400@hanamaui.com SUMMARY:Virtual Town Hall re traffic issues in East Maui DESCRIPTION:  \nRegister here: \nhttps://senate-capitol-hawaii-gov.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUudu-prTkiGdY87WOMNaxL98TuKFS3RGqD URL:https://hanamaui.com/event/virtual-town-hall-re-traffic-issues-in-east-maui/ LOCATION:Zoom\, HI\, United States CATEGORIES:Meeting ORGANIZER;CN="Senator DeCoite":MAILTO:sendecoite@Capitol.hawaii.gov END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Pacific/Honolulu:20210921T173000 DTEND;TZID=Pacific/Honolulu:20210921T183000 DTSTAMP:20240528T101732 CREATED:20210918T022215Z LAST-MODIFIED:20210918T022215Z UID:10001013-1632245400-1632249000@hanamaui.com SUMMARY:Hana Hwy Bridge Improvements Project: public meeting notice and flyer DESCRIPTION:The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT)\, in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration\, Central Federal Lands Highway Division (FHWA-CFLHD)\, will be holding two\, virtual public meetings\, the third set of a series of four public meetings\, to discuss a project to improve six of the historic bridges along the Hana Highway (Route 360) located between Huelo and Hana town in east Maui. How do we prepare for and respond to its effects? In 2022\, the Office of CCRS is currently working alongside community members to co-create Maui County’s first Climate Action and Resilience Plan (CARP): a comprehensive strategy for mitigating and adapting to climate change in Maui County. \nCommunities across Maui\, Molokaʻi\, and Lānaʻi are already familiar with drought\, sea level rise\, tropical storms\, shoreline erosion\, coral bleaching\, native species loss\, and more. A resilient future depends on reducing our greenhouse gas emissions and successfully adapting to ongoing changes in climate conditions. The CARP will identify targeted policies\, programs\, and projects to: \n • mitigate the County’s contributions to climate change;\n • prepare for unavoidable impacts;\n • reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through mitigation strategies;\n • and increase resiliency by improving social equity throughout the community.\nIt is important in the planning process to hear from people of East Maui\, including what our specific climate change concerns are\, and what is most important to the us in the East Maui communities. These specific vulnerabilities should be included in the planning\, and could be a help in the future to attach resources to address these issues. \n \nFor more information on the CARP\, visit https://www.resilientmauinui.org.\n\n  URL:https://hanamaui.com/event/climate-change-vulnerability-east-maui-community-talk-story/ LOCATION:Zoom\, HI\, United States CATEGORIES:Meeting END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Pacific/Honolulu:20220706T163000 DTEND;TZID=Pacific/Honolulu:20220706T180000 DTSTAMP:20240528T101734 CREATED:20220704T202817Z LAST-MODIFIED:20220704T202817Z UID:10001481-1657125000-1657130400@hanamaui.com SUMMARY:Hana Police Wala'au Sesh DESCRIPTION: URL:https://hanamaui.com/event/hana-police-walaau-sesh/ LOCATION:Kapueokahi – Hana Bay Beach Park\, 150 Keawa Place\, Hana\, HI\, 96713\, United States CATEGORIES:Meeting END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Pacific/Honolulu:20220726T150000 DTEND;TZID=Pacific/Honolulu:20220726T163000 DTSTAMP:20240528T101734 CREATED:20220722T153736Z LAST-MODIFIED:20220722T153736Z UID:10001404-1658847600-1658853000@hanamaui.com SUMMARY:Hana Advisory Committee Site Inspection DESCRIPTION:Hana Advisory Committee to the Maui Planning Commission-Notice of Public Meeting: Site Inspection \nTuesday\, July 26\, 2022Notice of Public Meeting:  Site Inspection.Place:  175 Haneoo Road\, Hana\, Island of Maui\nPurpose: Inspect site; in person site visit only at physical location.  No decision making will be taken by the Committee at this site inspection.\n \nhttps://www.mauicounty.gov/Calendar.aspx?EID=10865 URL:https://hanamaui.com/event/hana-advisory-committee-site-inspection/ LOCATION:Hana\, HI\, 96713\, United States CATEGORIES:Meeting END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Pacific/Honolulu:20220803T163000 DTEND;TZID=Pacific/Honolulu:20220803T180000 DTSTAMP:20240528T101734 CREATED:20220726T141738Z LAST-MODIFIED:20220726T141739Z UID:10001487-1659544200-1659549600@hanamaui.com SUMMARY:Hana Police Wala’au Sesh DESCRIPTION: URL:https://hanamaui.com/event/hana-police-walaau-sesh-2/ LOCATION:Kapueokahi – Hana Bay Beach Park\, 150 Keawa Place\, Hana\, HI\, 96713\, United States CATEGORIES:Meeting END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
